UNWANTED DOG BEHAVIOUR – HOW TO HAVE A RELAXED HAPPY DOG
My name is Crick Hooper and I am based near Rye, East Sussex. I have had dogs in my life and home for over 20 years and I can’t imagine life without a dog in it.
Eight years ago, I adopted a young German Shepherd bitch from a refuge. Things went well at first but she soon became increasingly aggressive to all other dogs and to some humans. Not knowing how to deal with this behaviour, I tried to get help but to no avail. I learned the hard way that in many instances dogs in rescue centres are troubled. Furthermore, there was very little help available about introducing a rescue dog into your home.
This experience made me want to learn about and tap into the psychology of dogs: how to speak dog, how to communicate clearly and how not to confuse them. In January 2009, I completed a comprehensive course on dog psychology, Diploma Canine Psychology and Behaviour, Institute of Animal Care and Education. Based on this and ‘hands-on’ experience, I have put together an approach and method that works and is a way of life for you and your canine family.
I like to visit your home so I can see where your dog or dogs live and how they behave. We will talk through your problems, I will explain what we will do and why, and we will put it into practice together. I won’t leave you until we have a result and you are feeling more confident, with everything explained, and the method written down clearly.
My approach has a high success rate and I am delighted to have found a way to bring my passion for dogs and their well-being to others in need of my help.
I am always at the end of the phone for you if you need help.
